How are products sourced?
We conduct extensive product research using third-party software. In addition, we layer on our own algorithm that includes over 20 additional KPIs and metrics including minimum profitability, fast shipping, well-reviewed across other marketplaces, vero program compliant, breakability, category restrictions, return rate, and more.
After products are listed, are they monitored? Are listings replaced over time?
Listings are monitored on an ongoing basis. Our automation software gets notified when a listing is not compliant (Vero word in description, category, etc) and we make the necessary changes immediately to revise or end the listing. As part of our monthly service, we analyze data from client’s stores each month to identify laggard products that will either be removed and replaced, or we will add additional products to identify a potential lift in sales. Our analysis includes tracking detail page views, conversion rate, customer service inquiries, impressions, and more.
Are products seasonal?
Occasionally we will list seasonal products to capture additional sales during certain periods, but 98% of products will be evergreen and products that could be ordered at anytime of the year. Part of our product research process is to identify products that will not need constant replacing and oftentimes this means more industrial, consumer goods are listed as these are more specific and traffic is consistently coming from long-tail search terms where our products can show higher up in the rankings faster.
Can clients have a say in what products are listed on their store?
Of course. Part of the product research and listing process includes removing all “blacklisted” items. We have an extensive blacklist that is constantly being updated with Vero brand names, search terms, category terms and more. If a client has specific requests, we can add terms to the blacklist on an ongoing basis that will prevent items with those terms from being listed onto their ebay store.
